Internet Age: Solutions providers vs. Service Providers

In todays world of 2025 the computer field has changed computer services.  Most IT companies had to reinvent themselves that don't write just custom software.  Most applications are now online services rather than desktop and client server programs.

Online applications have become different where you use the application with a login account and pay to use the service.  In other words, software applications have been placed on the internet.

I worked for a solutions provider that wrote custom software applications in Oracle, FoxPro and Visual Basic.  Today, they developed a US customs clearance application where users to use all the time.  This has provided a growing income stream for many IT companies.

Another example is an IT company offering advertising services all the time for users who pay.  This has become the norm for most information technology companies.

Is America really that great. Or are we just an average nation.

Is America really the greatest nation in the world?  That's debatable because of our immoral culture.

Everyone wants guns.  Our value system broke down since the 1960s and the Vietnam War.

In America today sin is so widespread.  John Paul II was right.  America is a culture of death.  Sexual immorality is so rampant in America which is why abortion is so problematic.

Unmarried couples are living together and having children out of wedlock.  The reason for this is because American children and youngsters have been exposed to so much bad TV and internet.  The internet has badly changed our culture.

 Bring back prayer in public schools.

Password Security: How to Create a Good Password

Password security is extremely important when you are on the web.  It helps prevent a lot of instances of identity theft.  Online security starts with you.

When you create a password, it has to be memorable and unguessable.  First of all, you don't want a sequence of any characters like "`7428939e32hkjfnfn".  It has to be crazy but something you can remember so you don't have to refer to your list of passwords.

You want a password like "Sobazo78&&".  It has to be something that sounds like a word but isn't a real English word.  It can also be something like "wotowang".  It has to be something you can remember but also crazy.

Remember password security is something that starts with you and your passwords.  Good luck with your online endeavors.

The Good and the Evil of the Internet

    The Internet has really altered our society.  We have vastly changed the way we communicate in the world because of the internet.  Our society has changed in many good ways.  We have faster ways to study online and research.  The 21st century has been the century of electronics.  Social media sites offer a great way to exchange with friends and loved ones. It has become a new way to market and sell goods and services. It has also brought more prosperity to several countries because of the advances of the internet.  That means there is somewhat less poverty in the world.  But the internet has also brought evil and vulnerability to our earth.

    The internet has made our world more susceptible to terrorism because it has allowed terrorists to network with each other much faster.  That is the unfortunate thing about going online.  It's made our young people and children targets of sexual abuse.  Online pornography has been a major problem in our land which has altered and poisoned our society.

    The internet has given hackers more avenues to commit fraud and theft which has disrupted our prosperity and peace throughout the world.  It has cost people millions of dollars because it has led to a dramatic increase in identify theft.

    Overall, there are good and evil sides of the internet.   Technology advances and theft insurance have fought against it.  It's just a matter of staying ahead in the race against online evil.  Think of it this way.  Dr Albert Einsteen's research let to good and evil applications of atomic energy.  Technology can be used either responsibly or irresponsibly.  It's just a matter of conquering and controlling online evil.  The battle between the good and evil of technology will always exist.
