Real Welfare reform in America

In the United States there are different welfare programs to help people.  There is unemployment insurance, Public Assistance and SSI.

Why don't we just consolidate these programs together and allow people to collect income that they need.  If a person is looking for work in some form, let there be one welfare program called Universal National Income.  People can collect this program as long as they're unemployed looking for work.  If they're disabled in some way, then they can collect this program as long as their unemployed to find another job.

The thing is it will always be there only if you need it.  This is because traditional unemployment insurance is only good for 6 months.

The universal income program could be a state and federal program together.

Retirement income should remain a separate program for the elderly retired.  That is not included in my discussion.

I am on SSI because of my mental and physical disabilities.  But if I work longer for a year and over the limit to receive SSI, my SSI case is closed.   Then if I needed later in my senior years, I wouldn't be able to receive it.

The main idea is to have Universal Income Program to support people who don't have enough income to live.  It can also be there for unemployed persons as long as their unemployed.

Education in America: My perceptions

 Education in America was once the best in the world.  Now it is one of the worst in the world.  Why is this?  In my opinion, it is because of all the mandates and politics behind it.  It is because we abandoned the basics and filled the education agenda or curriculum with loopholes.

I feel we need to go back to what worked in the past.  Go back to the old system.  School is way too stressful for kids today.  Go back to the basic subjects.  Don't teach computers in 1st grade.  Teach computers in middle school years.

We force feed our students too much.  Teach what works and go from there.  Teach Reading, Writing and Math first.

Your Birthday: What does that mean

Your birthday is just for you to enjoy.  However, it's also a time to look at where you are at as far as your life is concerned.  It's a time to think about your religious faith in God.  What are you doing so far in your life at this point.  Some of you say I work and raise a family.  That's good.  But do you know Christ.  Do you have a good relationship with him.  Do you pray.

What are your expectations for you on the rest of your life.  The reason being is because we don't live forever on earth.  Where do we go when we die.

It's scary, but God knows you want to be a good person and you try to live a good life. It's just that I'm scared of death.  What does my life mean to others.

Always remember that we all know we celebrate Christ's birthday on December 25.  That's a very good time to take our life seriously and how we relate to God.
